Dear Wayne,
Thanks for sharing. I have come across it before, but haven't really
scrutinized it. Will now :)
However, I will be doing my PhD with a University (will reveal once
settled), but I will explore possible models and formats to provide more
creative possibilities in doing a PhD that is recognized. Did you know that
the first PhD ever was only 6 pages long (1861 Yale)?

What happened? Have yet to meet a Professor today that is excited about
reading someone's 300+ pages Thesis (written using academic language)...LOL!
This is just one of the issues that really needs to be addressed (Size
matters, too much!).
The one open PhD approach you mentioned is certainly an interesting way of
doing it :)
