Dear Colleagues,

It has been an active discussion of the OCWC Meeting and the key issues it
raised.

Thanks!

First, on behalf of all of us, I would like to thank Mary Lou Forward and
her OCWC colleagues for sharing their reflections on the meeting and
interacting with us over the course of the past weeks.

An upcoming conference

Second, a conference that is of high interest to the OER Community, Open Ed
2010 will take place shortly in Barcelona from 2-4 November. It has a very
rich programme and you can find information at
http://openedconference.org/2010/ . The theme of the conference is OER:
Impact and Sustainability, which relates closely to the discussion we have
just had.

Taking a break and reflecting on our mode of interaction

And finally, as many noted, our discussion was very active - so much so that
some were driven to leaving the active group. Over the years, this
community has continued to grow and become more diverse in its membership.
We will take the various comments into consideration and suggest a mode of
continuing to focus on awareness raising and capacity building in an
international forum intended to welcome the whole world to the table.

My appreciation, as always for the spirit of sharing that underpins both the
OER movement and the OER Community.

With my best regards,

Susan D'Antoni
