Open Educational Resources 2011 (OER11)

OER11, organised by the Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE), will provide an International forum consisting of a stimulating and engaging mix of keynotes, project presentations and case studies, refereed papers, workshops, demos and symposia all promoting and disseminating best practice in OER.

The event will take place at the purpose-built Manchester Conference Centre with outstanding conference facilities, conveniently situated right in the heart of Manchester’s central commercial zone, within easy walking distance of Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations. Residential delegates will be accommodated in the centre's newly refurbished City rooms with excellent facilities including free high-speed internet access.

The OER11 Programme Committee welcomes proposals for oral presentations, workshops, symposia and demonstrations related to one or more of the conference themes:

 1 - OER strategy and sustainability
 2 - Academic practice and digital scholarship
 3 - Collaboration and communities

Journal of Interactive Media in Education - Special Edition

A special OER edition of JIME is planned and will feature the best research papers from the conference.

Social Events
-----------
On Wednesday evening a welcome reception takes place in the contemporary Cube Gallery in central Manchester. Wines and a selection of cocktail canapés will be served. This event is free to all delegates.

On Thursday evening there will be a drinks reception followed by a sumptuous five-course dinner with wine in the Weston Room at the Manchester Conference Centre. This event is included in the residential delegate price.

Registration

Registration opens on 21/12/10. Residential delegate places will be available on a first-come first-served basis. A reminder email will be sent once booking opens.
