In response to Q1 I would ask how useful are similar resources like
http://newspapermap.com/ ? For me limited. I'm more interested in the
meso/micro layer of individuals/departments. Initiatives like
http://architectmap.net/ are more appealing particularly if profiles
could include resources authored and available from various locations
... essentially the http://academia.edu/ of OER
